Finding the right therapist is the first step.
I enjoy working with young adults and people who are in transitional times in their lives. Going from supported environments like college or university into the working world is sometimes an overwhelming shift for young people. Often, moving to a new city or starting a new job can lead to feelings of loneliness, depression and anxiety. There are many life changes for people in their 20’s and 30’s. Maybe the career you thought you wanted is not fulfilling or the relationship you invested time and energy in is not going in the direction you hoped. Retirement can also trigger stress over trying to redefine your purpose, self worth or identity.
My role is to listen, reflect and help each individual process their thoughts and feelings. Life can be challenging. I use Cognitive Behavioral techniques as well as Solution Focused techniques in my practice. My goal is to help people get “unstuck”.
If you are struggling to find someone who can provide you support, empathy and a solid foundation from which to grow, I can help. I am an experienced therapist with positive outcomes and feedback from clients. I have flexible office hours and work remotely to reduce the time it takes to commit to counseling.
